New York Men’s Fashion Week S/S 17

July 11th kicked off the third season of New York Men’s Fashion Week, and needless to say it did not disappoint. This season offered an array of variety from the sporty chic attire of Nautica and Parke and Ronen to the vibrant pop of pastels from the likes of Brett Johnson,  Zachary Prell, and John Elliott. Monochrome pieces made their appearances on the runways of Todd Snyder Max’n Chester and Carlos Campos. What stood out to me the most was the reintroduction of once known fads throughout many a designer, offering a combination of casual style with unconventional trends. What I especially loved was that so many of the pieces I saw, were ones that I would actually wear, and that could be worn by both genders. I am a huge fan of the perfect pair of trousers/chinos  and/or drawstring pants and saw all of the above in the likes of Zachary Prell, and many others. One of many breakout trends of the summer is the aforemented bomber jacket, that appeared in David Naman ect.. my favorite was a blue, pink and purple ombre’d bomber from Ricardo Seco whose vibrant metallic colors were a statement for his collection. Overall, this fashion week definitely delivered, every show/ presentation I was fortunate to cover, left me coveting at least one or two if not all of the pieces I saw. Take a look at the photos I took from the shows I attended!
