New York Men’s Week kicked off on January 31st with the customary NYMD presentations at Dune Studios, featuring a plethora of promising designers such as Uri Minkoff, Robert James, Max N’ Chester, Krammer Stoudt, David Hart, Woodhouse, and many more. These talented designers brought a mixture of eccentric, grungy, urban, minimalistic and sporty vibes to their presentations. The 70’s were making a comeback, from the likes of Todd Snyder, Thaddeus O’Neil, as well as the minimalistic edgy vibes of Loris Diran. Corduroy was definitely the statement comeback piece of the season, as I noticed that it made many a comeback from both NYMD and throughout some shows later on in the week. Statement pieces were also quite the staple this season as well. As always I wanted to go home with many a piece from every collection, but I will have to settle for waiting to purchase one of my own.
