Finally! warmer weather seems to be gracing the streets of New York, but in memoriam of all the really cool outfits I was managed to assemble during the frost, this look was by far my favorite. One of my favorite things to do with my clothing is layer, layer, and layer some more. The only excuse to do that effectively without looking like a marshmellow is during the colder seasons. Now as many of you know monochrome colors are my go to and are typically my safest bet when layering, however, with these pieces, I chose to try something new. One of my favorite new brands Klean Seoul, has an exquisite array of bold and bright colored pieces that I immediately was drawn to! I paired their copper top from the F/W collection, with a beautiful white ruffled top from sheinside, with mom jeans from zara and my favorite silver loafers from guava, my look was complete. Yes I know I know this all sounds like an odd color scheme but it would be better to show you the look than tell you, so here it is! 7539722268 “Code to import my old blog: 7539722268”
Happy New Year everyone! I wanted to ring in the new year in one of my favorite looks, from this past holiday season, the perfect ensemble to a holiday event, the ideal New Years Eve look, ect. These gorgeous pieces from Dear Freedom, immediately caught my eye because of the unique geometric patterns of the top and the edgy design of the white culottes. This look paired with my favorite pair of Charles and Keith white slip-ons and lily- kit choker made for the ideal outfit!
I have always been an avid admirer of the perfect low shoe, sneakers, flats you name it, if it doesn’t elevate my height and force me to walk like a new born gazelle, then I will wear it! So of course you can imagine my immediate joy at purchasing a pair of unconventional white slip on sneakers from Charles and Keith. Now I know I may sound biased as I own a pretty decent amount of their pieces but, what I love about their shoes are that they set themselves apart from other shoes, in that they do not fit into the mold of standard everyday shoes in terms of what fits the standard. There are also a pair of flats that I can say were very aesthetically pleasing. The flats from their new velvet collection have a pointy toe with a really cool rounded heel, low enough that I can wear it everyday, but dressy enough, where I can wear it out on special occasions as well. Donned with a pair of oversized jeans and a white button down, I share with you how I went from casual with white slip-on’s to slightly dressy with flats with the same outfit. Trust me shoes relly do make the difference.
Every summer I find myself creating a mental checklist of what I want to accomplish before the close of August and the commencement of the fall season. Slowly but surely I’ve become increasingly better at completing the tasks at hand, I’m a work in progress I know.. But this summer especially I have found myself delving into more and more photography projects whether it be men’s NYFW, or a project or even working, convenience for me has always been key. When I say convenience, I mean any and everything that will alleviate the minute hassles of being a photographer, for instance organizing my bag to better locate my things albeit I was looking for a bag that was effective yet attractive as well as practical for whatever outfit I choose to wear with it. With Charles and Keith I found exactly that, their beautiful shopper bag tote works as both a backpack and adjustable tote bag, and if that doesn’t exude convenience I don’t know what does. The shopper bag comes in both black and white, and knowing how much I love to have my bags go well with my outfits I of course went with black. My outfit was from DEZZAL online. After what seemed like a never ending tundra that is New York City weather, the sun finally decided to grace us with warm weather, and what better way to do that with a fun photoshoot in soho with your best friend. Donned in head to toe winter/ spring attire we took to the cobbled stoned streets of Lafeyette in SOHO with talented photographer Ivana Miric capturing every moment. We selected these outfits because of it’s winter/ spring versatility, adding on to that are my favorite go to statement jewelry pieces from Gramerci Designs, the watch of every minimalists dream from Marc Bale, and my black and gold specs from zerouv.
Happy belated New Year to you all! Marking the new year with my first post of January, I thought I would go a different route this course, with the tables (or lens in this case), turned towards me. Instead of the usual focus on others and “hiding” behind my camera I decided, (with the coercion of a friend) to take that step in front of the camera. At first I was a little apprehensive as I am not as comfortable in front of the lens as I am behind, but it soon became second nature. I’m especially looking forward to sharing this look with you all, a very simple yet casual approach to the ever-dropping temperature in New York city. As the weather gets colder people tend to struggle to find that perfect look, but to also stay warm. In this look I am wearing probably one of the warmest and most comfortable sweaters, from Gudrun & Gudrun, the classic turtleneck with slight bell sleeves, were what sold me on this look, it being comfortable was the cherry on top. Pairing it up with a vintage coat and jeans made for the perfect winter look.
